PROPERTIES:
Nystatin is an antimycotic polene antibiotic obtained from streptomyces noursei, Nystatin is both fungistatic and fungicidal in vitro against a wide variety of yeasts and yeast – like fungi.
Nystatin acts by binding to sterols in the cell membrane of sensitive fungi with a resultant change in membrane permeability allowing leakage of intracellular components.

INDICATIONS:
Nystamed cream is indicated for the treatment of mucocutaneous infections caused by candida
albicans and other candida species.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Nystamed cream is contra-indicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of its
components.

PRECAUTIONS:
If any sensitization occurs, the drug should be immediately withdrawn and appropriate measures
taken
This cream is not for ophthalmic use

SIDE EFFECTS:
– None
– If irritation on topical application occurs, discontinue therapy .

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
Apply to affected areas 2 – 4 times daily or as indicated until healing is complete

Storage condition :
Store in a dry place below 25 C , out of reach of children

Tubes of 20 g and 40 g Nystamed cream.
